Most questions, such as time helping in the classroom and tuition can be answered in the documents found under Downloads.

How old are the children? It's a mixed age classroom, between 3 and 5. Children are 3 by September 1st. Children may join mid-year, but their 3rd birthday must be before Sept. 1st.

What are the hours? From 9 am to 1 pm. School is in session Mon. - Fri., though most children do not come on all days. 

What is expected of me as a parent?

• Attend General Meetings and Orientation Sessions at the beginning of the year.  Anyone who will parent help for your child during the school year MUST attend the Orientation Session.
• Assist in the classroom as a parent helper and be available on scheduled alternate days.
• Speak German in the classroom to children, teacher and other parents whenever possible – even if it is a struggle! Parents who do not speak German should try to learn some rudimentary German, including basic commands and greetings to use in the classroom.
• Fulfill the duties of their Kinderschule parent job and actively serve on at least one committee, or on the Board.
• Actively participate in fundraisers and to contribute towards the school’s total fundraising goal.
• Participate in the yearly cleaning day.  
• Meet other requirements as stated in the Parent Agreement.
